The Bureau of Land Management said the report — and additional environmental reviews — will allow it to begin leasing on public land next year.

Washington D.C., Apr 1 - For the first time, members of Congress today called upon EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy to “investigate and address the water contamination” in Dimock, Pennsylvania; Parker County, Texas; and Pavillion, Wyoming. Eight Representatives, led by Representative Matt Cartwright (PA-17), made the request in a letter to Administrator McCarthy.

Protesters march against LNG export terminal and 'planet-wrecking vision of new fracking wells, pipelines, and compressors'.A natural gas export terminal being proposed near a small coastal town in Maryland would increase toxic gas fracking operations around the region, hurt the environment, speed up climate change, and do little for "energy independence" in the United States, campaigners warned at the "the largest environmental protest in Baltimore history" on Thursday.

A group of "elves" delivered Santa's "Merry Frackmess" present to the Chicago home of Illinois Governor Pat Quinn on Monday.

The "elves"—activists with the climate activism group Rising Tide Chicago—delivered a red bow-adorned mock fracking rig to his lawn "because if Gov. Quinn and the other people that have opened up our state to fracking had to live next to fracking and had to obtain their water from a well I think they would not bring fracking to our state," said Mike Durshmid of the group.

Stop Global Warming

No issue reveals more clearly the flaws of the U.S. political-economic system than global warming. Greed and corporate power dominate the public good, and impose nearsighted focus on short term profits instead of serving our long-term needs and the welfare of future generations.
