Getting to Washington, D.C.

There are three airports near Washington, D.C. From there, local directions are to the University of District Columbia area where the PDA/UFPJ Organizing and Training meetings will be held on Sunday, May 21. There are several hotels in that area.

Option 1. Arrival at Washington National Airport (DCA):

From DCA, you can take the Metro directly to UDC or your hotel (provided your hotel is also Metro accessible).

Upon arrival at DCA, follow airport signs to the Metro. At the National Airport Metro Station, take the Yellow Line train towards Mt. Vernon Square. Get off at the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station. Transfer to a Red Line train going toward Shady Grove. Get off at the Van Ness-UDC Metro Station.

Option 2. Arrival at Washington Dulles Airport (IAD):

From Dulles, the cheapest travel option into DC is via Super Shuttle. Their website has information on reservations and costs.

Option 3. Arrival at Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI)

The cheapest travel option into DC is via Amtrak. Their website has information on reservations, schedules, and costs.

Take the Amtrak train to Union Station in DC. When the train arrives at Union Station, transfer to the Metro, and take a Red Line train in the direction of Grosvenor OR Shady Grove. This train will take you eight stops to the Van Ness-UDC stop where the Sunday events will be held.

Super Shuttle also offers service from BWI to DC (though more expensive). See their website for information on reservations and costs.
