One of the members of the grand jury that decided not to indict a Ferguson, Mo., police officer in the Michael Brown shooting has sued the St. Louis County prosecutor who oversaw the case, St. Louis Public Radio reported Monday.

The St. Louis County grand juror, who is remaining anonymous, alleges that prosecutor Robert McCulloch's "public characterization" of the grand jury does not reflect the juror's own views.

"He was no angel." That’s the refrain, repeated for over two months on social media by defenders of Officer Darren Wilson, convinced that Michael Brown was little more than a violent and dangerous thug who deserved to die that August day in Ferguson.

No indictment in Ferguson case

A white police officer will not face charges for fatally shooting an unarmed black teenager in a case that set off violent protests and racial unrest throughout the nation, an attorney close to the case said Monday night.

What happens next if a St. Louis grand jury doesn’t charge Officer Darren Wilson? Questions have been raised in Ferguson, Mo., about the role of that state's senior U.S. senator: Did either Sen. Claire McCaskill or her staff communicate to the Department of Justice that it should end its Ferguson investigation after the local grand jury ends its own?

Michael Brown and Disparity of Due Process

Michael Brown didn’t get due process. The still unnamed police officer who shot the 18-year-old black teenager dead in Ferguson will get plenty of it. This is the root of the frustration that is driving the African-American community to the streets in north St. Louis County over yet another senseless killing of a young black man.
