Barbara Lee Issues Statement on the Vice Presidential Debate

Written by  Congresswoman Barbara Lee | Press Release

Oakland, CA – Barbara Lee issued the following statement on the Vice Presidential Debate:

“As was reinforced again tonight, there is a clear choice in this election for all, but especially women. Paul Ryan is absolutely dedicated to repealing the Affordable Care Act, which would roll back the progress we’ve made to ensuring that women across the country receive the preventative care services they deserve. And both Romney and Ryan have pledged to take women back to the same failed policies of the past that limited their right to control their own health choices. They’ve made it clear that they want to make our decisions for us. In stark contrast, President Obama trusts us to make our own and that’s why women across the country and the people of my home state of California will re-elect him to a second term.”
