Senator Elizabeth Warren Signs On to SJ Res 15

Written by  Tammy Simkins

A Major Victory for ERA (Equal Rights Amendment) advocates happened today as Senator Elizabeth Warren becomes the 32nd co-sponsor on Senator Ben Cardin’s bi-partisan bill, SJRES15 to remove the deadline to ratify the ERA.

Senator Warren is more than just a number in the support column for ERA activists; as we know that the Senator firmly stands for the legislation she endorses. With her record of standing up for the 99%, she will undoubtedly be a champion for ensuring the ERA becomes the 28th Amendment to our Constitution now that she has added her name to the growing list.

Please join us in showering Senator Warren with gratitude.

What is new is that we now have the techniques and the resources to get rid of poverty. The real question is whether we have the will.”

Simply put, the big idea behind the Robin Hood Tax is to generate hundreds of billions of dollars.  That money could provide funding for jobs to kickstart the economy and get America back on its feet. It could help save the social safety net here and around the world.  And it will come from fairer taxation of the financial sector.
